If you’re looking for a vacation destination with plenty of activities for the whole family that also won’t break the bank, look no further than Myrtle Beach. Here is a list just scratching the surface of activities and attractions to engage in while staying in Myrtle Beach:
Amusements & Attractions
One of the most iconic images of Myrtle Beach is the SkyWheel located in the heart of the boardwalk. It will give you a bird’s eye view and is the highest observation point of the Atlantic Ocean in North America and the East Coast’s only 200-foot ferris wheel.
It’s hot in Myrtle Beach in the summer and what better way to cool off on a hot summer day than a water park. Choose from many options, including Splashes Oceanfront Water Park, the only oceanfront water park in the area, and Myrtle Waves Water Park, the largest in South Carolina, to get your fill of slides, lazy rivers and kiddie pools.
Check out Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium and/or Ripley’s Aquarium. The Odditorium is a mix of just about everything off kilter you can imagine, Ripley’s features shrunken heads, a spinning tunnel, a real vampire killing kit and endless curiosities. Plan to spend about an hour to tour the attraction. In the aquarium, visitors can walk through a tunnel as fish, sharks, turtles and more swim above.
Myrtle Beach also has terrific outdoor activities like fishing, great golf courses, live baseball, and much more. Additionally, you’ll find great restaurants and shopping throughout the boardwalk and Broadway at the Beach.
